New version supports Microsoft Exchange 2007 and VISTA.
GFI FAXmaker 14 for Exchange/SMTP, the leading fax server solution, integrates with Microsoft Exchange 2007 and offers support for 64-bit Microsoft operation systems (OS), VISTA and Fax over IP (FoIP).

This development was done in accordance with the Dec. Lei 238/2006 of December the 20th, which refers to the need of companies which use informatic means to have management aid tools in general, and, in particular, software related to Accountancy and Billing, and, in the future, related to Payroll Processment and Existences, to issue a file called SAFT PT. This way, the Associação Portuguesa de Software (ASSOFT - Portuguese Software Association), in collaboration with the Direcção Geral de Impostos (DGCI - Taxes and Revenues), have developed for Portugal the Standard Audit File for Tax purposes, as recommended by the OCDE.

The SAFT is a file which holds reliable data from accountancy, which can be exported from the original accountant system for a give amount of time, in a format which is easily readable since it is standard, and which can be used by the taxes and revenue authorities in order to check for compliance with the legal obligations of the company.

"According to the Portaria (Law) Nº 321-A/2007 of March 26th, after January the 1st of 2008 the Standard Audit File for Tax Purposes - SAFT - Portuguese Version will be mandatory".
